Turkey's Premier Yacht Design Studio
Unique Yacht Design (UYD) is the trading name of Özgün Yacht Design, founded in Antalya, Turkey, in 2010 by naval architect Emrecan Özgün. The studio began by offering naval architecture and engineering services for mega yachts and quickly established itself, starting work on one of the largest yachts ever constructed in Turkey. In 2013, the studio expanded to offer exterior design services under the Unique Yacht Design trademark.

UYD is one of the few studios capable of offering a complete package—from initial sketch to final launch—including design, engineering, and naval architecture for motor yachts ranging from 30 to 85 metres and beyond. The studio's design philosophy, led by Özgün, blends aesthetics with engineering to create beautiful, high-performance yachts. This approach has earned international recognition, including a win at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2014 and multiple finalist nominations at the prestigious ShowBoats Design Awards in 2016, 2017, and 2018 for their projects Irimari (63m), Giaola-Lu (46m), and Nerissa (48m).
Flagship Projects
UYD has penned some of Turkey's largest and most significant yachts. They designed the 80-metre Tatiana 3 (formerly Bilgin), which upon her launch in 2019 was the largest yacht ever built in Turkey in her category. Following this success, the studio began the design and engineering of an 85-metre yacht for Bilgin, set to become the new largest-ever-built yacht in the country, solidifying UYD's reputation as a top-tier exterior design and naval architecture firm.
