Italian Designer and Naval Architect
Francesco Guida is an Italian yacht designer and naval architect with a documented portfolio of 31 superyacht designs. His work blends aesthetic appeal with practical, user-focused details, aiming to elevate the onboard experience from simple comfort to genuine pleasure.
The Santasevera Brand
Guida is the designer behind the new Italian yacht brand Santasevera, for which he has drawn the lines for three models: 40, 46, and 52 feet. The first hull of the Santasevera 52, a 15.75m day cruiser, was launched in summer 2024. Guida's design for this model deliberately departs from some current trends to focus on practical enjoyment, emphasizing a spacious and protected cockpit, a large sunbathing area aft, and a well-appointed interior with a full-beam master cabin forward. The yacht can be equipped with various propulsion systems to suit different owner preferences.
Notable Project: Haze
Another significant project by Francesco Guida is the 26.2m motor yacht Haze, an Extra X86 model built by Extra Yachts and delivered in 2020. For this planing fast yacht, Guida served as both exterior designer and naval architect. The yacht's design achieves an impressive top speed of 30 knots, which is 3.43 knots above the average for similarly sized motor yachts, placing her in the top 30% by speed worldwide. The interior of Haze was designed by the UK-based studio Lawson Robb.
