From CRN to Founding Her Own Studio
Francesca Muzio, a Genoese architect, founded FM Architettura d'Interni in Ancona in 2009. Her deep expertise in the maritime world was forged during a decade as Design Director for CRN and Custom Line, part of the Ferretti Group, in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Today, her studio, with a team of 50 architects, engineers, and designers operating from offices in Ancona and Milan, applies its craft to superyachts, luxury residences, and high-end hotels worldwide.
Superyacht Interior Design
FM Architettura d'Interni's philosophy, encapsulated by the motto 'I am my home,' is to create spaces that are a true reflection of the client's identity, dreams, and experiences. The studio currently has nine superyachts between 50 and 80 meters under construction for prestigious shipyards, including Feadship, Benetti, Rossinavi, Tankoa, and The Italian Sea Group. Recent projects include the 59m Rossinavi M/Y Akula and the 39m Overmarine M/Y Mirage, where design evokes the natural essence of the sea through soft, organic forms.
The Ulyssia Project
FM Architettura d'Interni is the visionary behind Ulyssia, a groundbreaking 320-meter superyacht that redefines the concept of living at sea. More than a simple vessel, Ulyssia is conceived as a residential community, offering owners private residences and the ability to travel the world while enjoying the comfort, privacy, and cultural context of a floating community. This project demonstrates the studio's ability to scale its design approach to create global, emotionally impactful experiences.
