Notable Projects: Jade and Papillon
Among Bacigalupo's documented projects is the 30.5m motor yacht Jade, built by Italian yard Leopard Yachts and delivered in 2008. A 31 Sport model, Jade features a GRP hull and superstructure with teak decks, achieving a top speed of 43 knots from three MTU diesel engines. Bacigalupo served as both exterior designer and naval architect, while interior design was handled by Rodriguez .
Another significant work is the 24.38m open yacht Papillon, built by Mangusta in 1998. This Mangusta 80 Open model features exterior styling by Bacigalupo, with interior design by Mangusta's in-house team. Papillon achieves cruising speeds of 38 knots and a maximum of 42 knots from twin MTU engines, with a planing hull and shallow draft ideal for coastal exploration.
