Achille Salvagni Architetti

Achille Salvagni is an acclaimed Italian designer known for his 'soft minimalism' approach to luxury superyacht interiors, with projects for Cantiere delle Marche and custom designs for major shipyards.

Achille Salvagni Architetti

Achille Salvagni is an internationally acclaimed Italian designer whose Rome-based studio, Achille Salvagni Architetti, specializes in ultra-luxury residential and yacht interiors. He is celebrated for his "soft minimalism" aesthetic—a harmonious blend of organic, sculptural forms, meticulous craftsmanship, and a warm, textural material palette that creates serene and emotionally resonant spaces.

Notable Yacht Projects

A flagship project is the interior for the Cantiere delle Marche RJ 155.39, a 46.7-meter explorer yacht. Here, Salvagni employed light koto wood, curved panels, and references to marine coral to create a contemplative, peaceful environment that contrasts with the vessel's rugged exterior. His work extends to major custom projects for shipyards like Azimut, Baglietto, Rossinavi, and Benetti. Each project showcases his signature use of bespoke furniture, rare marbles, and custom bronze detailing.

Design Philosophy and Recognition

Salvagni's approach treats the yacht interior as a holistic work of art, where every element—from door handles to ceiling panels—is designed as a unique, sculptural piece. His style is influenced by early 20th-century design masters and Japanese aesthetics, focusing on balance, materiality, and light. His work has earned numerous international awards, solidifying his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary superyacht interior design.
