Cantiere delle Marche Launches Nauta Air 108 Tartaruga
Cantiere delle Marche has successfully launched Tartaruga, the latest addition to the Nauta Air series. This 32.6-metre explorer yacht represents the ongoing evolution of CdM's semi-custom range, first introduced in 2014 with the launch of Yolo in collaboration with Nauta Design.
A Testament to Continuous Evolution
Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CdM, commented: "In the Darwinian spirit that has characterised us since inception, we have continually evolved and moved forward. The Nauta Air 108 we launched today is a testament to this winning approach." He also expressed appreciation to Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC for valued partnership throughout the project.
Refined Design and Features
Tartaruga showcases refined upgrades including fashion plates seamlessly blended with dark glazing along the main deck salon, and a 6-metre tender and crane positioned forward on the main deck. Both exterior and interior are designed by Nauta, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic. Social areas include the aft cockpit with clear views and an expansive sundeck. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in 5 suites, with crew quarters for five and captain's cabin next to the wheelhouse.
Designer's Perspective
Guido Valtorta, Nauta co-Director, described the project: "A new chapter unfolds in the enduring success story of Cantiere delle Marche and the CdM Nauta Air range. This project embodies a deeply personal vision of life at sea of the experienced Owner and his family of passionate sailors. Timeless exterior lines express a strong marine character and true explorer spirit." He added that the interior concept reflects the Owner's lifestyle with natural tones, authentic materials, and understated elegance.
Technical Specifications
Measuring 32.6 metres with a 7.55-metre beam, Tartaruga is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 Acer engines (533 kW each) with Selective Catalytic Reduction for IMO Tier III compliance. A Dynamic Positioning System allows automatic station-keeping without anchoring in environmentally sensitive areas. Naval architecture includes a bulbous bow and flat aft sections for fuel efficiency, stability and seakeeping.
Nauta Air Series Legacy
Tartaruga is the sixth in the Nauta Air series, with a seventh to follow shortly. The series continues to demonstrate CdM's commitment to refining and improving models to meet diverse client needs while maintaining explorer yacht capability and sophisticated design.
