Sanlorenzo Unveils SX120, Its Largest-Ever Crossover Yacht Blending Innovation, Sustainability and Style

Press Release, July 9, 2025 – Sanlorenzo presents SX120, the largest-ever yacht in its crossover line, a pioneering concept that redefines yachting and reinforces the brand’s role as an industry innovator.

• At 120 feet and 270 GT, the SX120 is Sanlorenzo’s largest-ever yacht in the crossover range, offering expansive onboard spaces and a 70 sqm beach area with retractable pool and 360° panoramic views from the Upper Deck.

• First superyacht worldwide to feature Volvo Penta’s new IPS Professional Platform, enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental impact with four compact 1,000 HP engines.

• Combining features of flying bridge and explorer yachts, the SX120 redefines life at sea through seamless indoor-outdoor integration, adaptability, and sleek modern aesthetics.

• World debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, 9–14 September 2025.

At 37 meters in length and 270 GT, SX120 introduces unprecedented space, flexibility, and design freedom while marking a decisive step forward in sustainable propulsion. She is the first composite superyacht to feature the groundbreaking Volvo Penta IPS Professional Platform, unveiled in Düsseldorf in 2024. Four compact 1,000 HP engines deliver the performance of larger units with reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions, and quieter operation, aligning with Sanlorenzo’s long-term sustainability commitments.

Innovation in Design: A Floating Villa on the Sea

The SX120 exemplifies Sanlorenzo’s SX philosophy, blending the livability of a flying bridge yacht with the bold character of an explorer. Key highlights include:

• 70 sqm Beach Area – Expands via opening side terraces and houses a retractable swimming pool that can be revealed or concealed with a lift-and-slide mechanism.

• 360° Upper Deck Views – Offering dining, relaxation, or entertainment with panoramic horizons.

• Smart Island Sun Deck – A modular, configurable lounge concept for ultimate flexibility.

• Master Suite Forward – With direct private access to a bow lounge, a feature usually reserved for larger yachts.

• Fluid Indoor-Outdoor Connection – Spaces by Zuccon International Project and interiors by Piero Lissoni merge elegance, brightness, and a sense of openness.

Sustainability Meets Performance

Volvo Penta’s IPS Professional Platform brings compact propulsion architecture, enabling a smaller engine room and freeing interior volume for owners and guests. Features include:

• Eco Mode – Automatically adjusts engine output to optimize fuel efficiency.

• SCR Exhaust Treatment – Ensures IMO III compliance, reducing emissions.

• Enhanced Comfort – Lower vibration and noise levels, improving onboard experience.
