Forlì, July 2, 2025 – The new Ferretti Yachts 940, unveiled at the Venice Boat Show, is more than a yacht: it is a home on the water. The latest expression of the “Just Like Home” philosophy, it transforms every journey into an experience of elegance, conviviality, and well-being.
With a length overall of 28.97 metres (95ft 1in) and a maximum beam of 6.76 metres (22ft 2in), the Ferretti Yachts 940 is the first widebody yacht in the range. Its five-cabin layout—including a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins below—makes it ideal for both private retreats and social gatherings, while expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing brings the sea into every interior.
Design that Connects with the Sea
The yacht’s sweeping horizontal lines create a sleek, dynamic silhouette, while panoramic windows establish a constant dialogue with the environment. The result is a design language built on dynamism, lightness, and harmony with nature.
Ferretti Yachts 940 is the product of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee chaired by Piero Ferrari, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, exterior designer Filippo Salvetti, and interior specialists Ideaeitalia.
Main Deck: Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living
The 32 m² cockpit can be arranged with sofas and a dining table or, as in this first unit, with free-standing Minotti furniture for maximum versatility. A glass parapet and a swim platform with pantograph mechanism ensure guests can enjoy effortless contact with the sea.
Inside, the 30 m² main lounge features an elegant Minotti corner sofa, optional custom layouts, and a dining area with seating for eight around a Bonaldo Art bronze-glass table. Floor-to-ceiling glazing ensures a spectacular view and abundant natural light, while the full-beam master suite forward offers 27 m² of refined comfort with marble finishes, walk-in wardrobe, and panoramic bathroom.
Upper Deck: A Panoramic Retreat
The 50 m² flybridge is an open-air haven for al fresco dining, with seating by Talenti, a bar counter with Minotti stools, and an optional louvre hard top for shade. The aft section is fully customisable with free-standing furniture, while the sleek structural arch creates a distinctive design statement.
Lower Deck: Privacy and Comfort
Three VIP cabins and a flexible twin cabin each feature en suite bathrooms and generous wardrobes, ensuring maximum comfort and privacy. The crew quarters, located forward, are designed for efficiency, with accommodation for up to four.
Performance and Certification
The Ferretti Yachts 940 can be fitted with twin 2000 HP MAN V12 engines (25 kn max, 21 kn cruising) or twin 2200 HP MAN V12X engines (27 kn max, 23 kn cruising). With CE Class A certification, it represents the highest safety and quality standard for yachts under 24 metres.
