Massari Design

A protagonist of Italian design since the 1960s, Massari Design creates timeless and innovative luxury yacht interiors, with recent projects like the 88m Project X earning international awards.

Massari Design has been a protagonist of Italian design since the 1960s, when its founder, Luigi Massari, began creating authorial interiors for luxury yachts. Today, the studio is led by architect Alessandro Massari, who has carried the family legacy into the 21st century. He skillfully combines tradition and innovation to bring to life projects that are both timeless and modern. An indefatigable researcher of Italian excellence and unique finishes, Alessandro Massari steers a team appreciated across various sectors, from yachting and aviation to luxury hospitality, private residences, and exclusive furniture collections.

Award-Winning Yacht Interiors

One of Massari Design's most recent and celebrated works is the interior of Project X, an 88-meter yacht built by Greek shipyard Golden Yachts. This project, which won the Boat International Design Award for 'lifestyle feature beach club,' exemplifies the studio's meticulous approach to selecting materials and finishes. On board, elegant and sophisticated combinations of precious woods, marbles, onyx, metals, silks, and over forty varieties of leathers create a rich tapestry. The creative challenge was to give each environment its own identity while ensuring perfect harmony throughout the vessel.

Diverse Projects and New Ventures

Another iconic project is the 52-meter CRN CIAO for the Ferretti Group, where the design pursues concepts of linearity and cleanliness fused with sophisticated yet understated details. Massari Design's work also extends to refitting, with projects like the 55-meter Amels La Masquerade, and to aviation, with numerous studies developed in collaboration with Boeing and Citadel. The studio is also applying its contemporary style to industrial architecture, designing the new Wider shipyard facility in Fano, with a focus on sustainability and integration with the cultural heritage of the city. Upcoming projects include the interiors of the 77-meter O'Rea for Golden Yachts and a confidential yacht over 80 meters.
