Setting Sail towards Celestial Luxury: Heesen Sells 55m Project Venus
Heesen Yachts is delighted to announce the sale of the 55m Steel YN 20655, known as Project Venus.
Rupert Connor from Luxury Yachts represents the client, a distinguished yacht connoisseur and former Heesen client. Rupert states, "Returning to Heesen was an easy choice for our client. Their commitment to high-quality standards and exceeding our needs results in fabulous builds. No other shipyard in the world can deliver a high-quality, customized yacht within ten months of signing. Their revised 55m platform offers a 'best in class' layout and engineering. Our build support team is thrilled to work with Heesen again.”
Project Venus is under construction with a scheduled launch in January 2025. As part of Heesen's speculative program, this superyacht allows clients to acquire a luxurious vessel with shortened delivery times without compromising quality.
Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture is leading the interior design customization, working closely with the client and his team to reflect the owner's refined taste and lifestyle.
Construction of Project Venus began in November 2022. Its slender steel hull, an iteration of van Oossanen Naval Architects' ultra-efficient FDHF design, was fabricated at Talsma in Friesland, the Netherlands. Talsma, a trusted partner of Heesen for over a decade, collaborates closely with Heesen engineers to deliver steel hulls meeting exacting standards. Steel hulls are fabricated at a separate location to prevent cross-contamination with aluminium hulls, which are welded at Heesen's facility in Oss.
Heesen Yachts' skilled interior craftspeople will soon begin fulfilling the owner's desires for the yacht's interior, ensuring a truly personalized and luxurious experience.
Project Venus, with its voluminous 760 GT enclosed space, offers ample room for lavish amenities while remaining small enough to enter charming Mediterranean ports. Its exceptional seakeeping abilities ensure safe cruising even in rough seas. The forward positioning of the stabilizer fins and the solid steel hull contribute to an exceptionally comfortable cruising experience.
Heesen CEO Niels Vaessen expresses his delight with the return of this esteemed client, stating, "The return of a valued client testifies to the exceptional quality and reliability of our yachts. It reaffirms our commitment to delivering a product that exceeds expectations and meets the highest standards of luxury and performance. The satisfaction and loyalty displayed by returning clients inspire us to continually push the boundaries of innovation and craftsmanship."
The delivery of YN 20655 is scheduled for Q2 2025, marking another milestone for Heesen Yachts in delivering exceptional superyachts to discerning clients.
