JQB design
JQB Design, founded by American yacht designer Jonathan Quinn Barnett, is known for innovative superyacht concepts and interior design. Barnett contributed to the interior of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's 126m Octopus and designed award-winning yachts including 44m Muchos Mas and 55m Silver Shalis.
American Innovation and Craftsmanship
Jonathan Quinn Barnett founded JQB Design with a philosophy of creating truly one-of-a-kind vessels through research into new materials and technologies. While many JQB yachts remain off the radar, it is known that Barnett worked on the interior design of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's 126 metre Octopus, one of the world's most iconic explorer yachts built by Lürssen.
Award-Winning Projects
JQB's 44m Muchos Mas earned widespread recognition for its award-winning sun deck featuring a pool with swim-up bar, superyacht spa experience with hydro-massage onyx bed, and ultimate yacht galley with herb garden. The 55m Silver Shalis, built by Delta Marine, features a silent glass-enclosed cylindrical elevator with oil-rubbed bronze finish and curved marble wall panels with vein-matched arrangement. The 53m M/Y MLR, designed and built in Seattle, exemplifies American yacht design with modern exterior and American neoclassic-inspired interior.
Innovative Concepts
JQB Design develops forward-thinking concepts including an 88m high-performance schooner ecoyacht with twin unstayed carbon pivoting sail rigs, a 78m unlimited world-cruising superyacht with underwater observation lounge and winter garden, and a 74m high-performance sloop ecoyacht with collapsible upper royal sail rig enabling Panama Canal transit.
