Engineering Backbone of Ferretti Group
The Ferretti Engineering Department serves as the in-house naval architecture division for one of the world's leading yacht builders, Ferretti Group. According to BOATPro database records, the department has developed naval architecture for 702 superyachts above 24 metres, demonstrating unparalleled experience and production capacity in the industry .
Recent Projects
The department's recent work includes the 26.97m motor yacht Love, a Ferretti Yachts Infynito 90 model delivered in 2024. For this semi-displacement vessel, the Ferretti Engineering Department provided naval architecture while Filippo Salvetti handled exterior design and IdeaeITALIA created the interior. Love accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, achieving 20 knots top speed and 1,200 nautical mile range from twin MAN diesel engines .
The department also collaborated on the new Ferretti Yachts 720, launched in November 2025 from the Group's Ravenna facility. This 22.5m flybridge model resulted from collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee chaired by engineer Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Engineering Department, with Filippo Salvetti exterior design and IdeaeITALIA interiors . The vessel features advanced systems including Seakeeper NG10 stabilizer and WATCHIT Antigrounding System.
