Created to a design of Fulvio De Simoni, 8x has a Planing GRP/Carbon Fiber hull and GRP/Carbon Fiber superstructure driven by 2 X MTU 16V 2000 M96/2 X MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines to a maximum speed of 48 knots while comfortably cruising at 41 knots. The fuel tank has a capacity of 6200l/1363gal what allows a yacht to cover 310 nautical miles without the need to refuel. Pershing 8x has a beam of 5.86m/20ft.
