DARWIN 86 EMPIRE DELIVERED!

Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) is pleased to announce the recent delivery of the Darwin 86 Empire to her enthusiastic American owner. This delivery marks another milestone in the success of the Darwin Class explorer yachts.

Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CdM, expressed his satisfaction with the continued success of the Darwin Class: “The Darwin 86 Empire, now joining a fleet of twelve Darwins ranging from 86 to 112 feet, exemplifies the success of the range she belongs to. The Darwin Class is still giving us a great satisfaction confirming the validity of a model that stands the test of time.”

Design and Construction:

  • Custom Design: Empire features a customized design tailored to the owner's specifications, created by Hydro Tec and CdM. It is designed for long voyages, including high-latitude regions, with an 'ice belt' at the waterline and reinforced hull and rudders for icy conditions. The hull has been partially built with bulletproof steel plates for additional security.
  • Interior Design: The interiors, crafted by Alessandro Massari, radiate sober elegance with a warm ambiance. Custom-made furniture is blended with pieces from renowned brands like Poltrona Frau and Poliform.

Accommodations:

  • Owner's Stateroom: A full-beam stateroom amidships on the lower deck provides ample space and comfort.
  • Guest Cabins: Two twin cabins with pullman beds and a VIP suite are located on the lower deck.
  • Crew Quarters: Designed to house four members, the crew quarters are located forward on the main deck with a substantial crew mess for communal dining and relaxation.

Social and Fitness Areas:

  • Main Deck: Features both indoor and outdoor spaces for lounging and dining, with a cozy bar and well-equipped galley.
  • Upper Deck: Includes a spacious gym and a lounging area opening onto a furnished stern terrace.
  • Sun Deck: Furnished with loose furniture and sunbeds, offering an ideal setting for relaxation and enjoyment.
