Baglietto Unveils Innovative X50 Observation Yacht

After its official presentation in February, Baglietto is excited to reveal the new video of the groundbreaking Observation Yacht X50. Watch the video here: X50 Video.

In the words of writer Erri De Luca, "Real journeys are the ones made by sea, on vessels, not by train. The horizon should be empty and separate the sky from the water. All around, only nothingness, weighed down by immensity. Only then is it a journey." With this sentiment in mind, Baglietto introduces the X50—a 50-meter yacht concept that redefines the concept of exploration and observation.

Introducing XO: The XO line is more than just an Explorer yacht; it's an invitation to Experience, Observe, and perceive the horizon in a new way. The X50 is designed for long-range cruising with a unique observation point located above the wheelhouse. This exclusive space offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, making ocean crossings more engaging and immersive.

Key Features:

  • Observation Point: Positioned above the wheelhouse, this space offers a 360° view with large flush-fitting windows and a central skylight for an uninterrupted view of the sky and stars.
  • Visual Room: A cozy, protected space furnished with cushions and sofas, perfect for relaxation even on the coldest days. It features six independent monitors for watching movies, listening to music, viewing digital charts, or experiencing navigation via a drone.
  • Design Inspiration: Drawing from the ETR 300 'Settebello' train, the X50 incorporates innovative design elements from this iconic train, reversing the traditional layout to place the guest area above the pilot bridge.

Design and Performance:

  • Exterior Design: By Paszkowski Design, featuring sleek, free-flowing lines that retain the Explorer’s rugged elegance.
  • Fly Bridge: Minimalist design with flush-fitted glazed surfaces for a stunning 360° view.
  • Hull Design: Built for transoceanic crossings with a sturdy, sharp bow for handling extreme weather conditions.
  • Aft Area: Includes a gym, storage room, and a large transformer for easy access. The area can accommodate up to two large tenders (up to 10 meters each).

Environmental Focus:

  • Materials: Use of eco-friendly ceramic materials and special paints.
  • Sustainability: Solar panels on the flybridge recharge onboard water toys and other equipment.

Technical Specifications:

  • Engines: Two CAT C32 engines.
  • Maximum Speed: 16 knots.

Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto’s CCO, states: “We aimed to create something new and technologically advanced. The X50 is not just an Explorer yacht; it’s about experiencing a journey to its fullest. With its unique 360° observation point, the X50 offers an unparalleled view and embodies a distinctive personality for those who truly appreciate the essence of cruising.”

The X50 is designed to deliver a journey defined by exploration and observation, combining advanced technology with unparalleled comfort.
