Numarine has announced significant progress in the construction of its upcoming flagship superyacht, the 40MXP, which is set for launch in 2025. The hull has been successfully turned and moved to the shipyard for outfitting.
“This marks a major milestone for the new model’s construction, and I’m pleased to report we’re on track for the planned 2025 delivery,” stated Murat Şen, General Manager of Numarine. “The market response has been overwhelmingly positive, with three 40MXP units sold even before the first launch, showcasing a strong interest from boat owners.”
True to Its Heritage, Enhanced for New Adventures
The 40MXP retains the high-volume, low-hassle, long-range ethos of the XP series, offering new design features that enhance the connection to the sea. The ‘MXP’ stands for Mediterranean Explorer, reflecting a beach-club lifestyle typical of Mediterranean yachts, yet suitable for diverse cruising environments.
Designed for the Mediterranean and Beyond
As an evolution of the 37XP, the 40MXP extends its length by two meters, incorporating exciting new features. The aft deck, enlarged due to the additional length and repositioned saloon doors, now accommodates a large alfresco dining area, bar, lounge, and a new aft pool with a glass transom. This area connects to a spacious hydraulic swim platform spanning the yacht’s 8-meter beam. The outdoor living space can be shaded with an awning or benefit from the upper deck overhang for more permanent shade, making it suitable for various climates, including the Middle East and Australia.
Long-Range Performance
The 40MXP can achieve a remarkable 6,000-nautical-mile range at 8 knots, thanks to an optimized hull design by Umberto Tagliavini. It features standard propulsion from a pair of MAN 800hp engines, with an option to upgrade to Tier III-compliant twin MAN 900hp engines. The first two sold yachts will feature the 900hp MAN upgrades.
Luxurious and Spacious Interiors
The interior of the 40MXP reflects Numarine’s commitment to space and luxury, offering six suites for up to 12 guests. This includes a full-beam main deck master suite and a full-beam lower deck VIP suite. The interior and exterior designs are by Can Yalman, continuing the aesthetic legacy of the 37XP. The 40MXP also boasts expansive flybridge, upper deck, and main deck areas, making it a coveted model with transatlantic range. The large boat deck can accommodate up to a 9-meter tender, three full-size jet skis, and additional water sports toys, reinforcing its status as a true global explorer.
