Baglietto's T52 Wins World Superyacht Award 2024 for Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and Below, 45M and Above
La Spezia, 6 May 2024 – Baglietto's T52 hull no. 10238, a steel and aluminium displacement yacht designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, in collaboration with Margherita Casprini for the interiors, has triumphed at the Boating Industry's 2024 World Superyacht Awards. The T52 won in the category "Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and Below, 45M and Above."
The award ceremony took place last night at the stunning Venetian Arsenal. The jury, comprised of ship owners and experts from the international magazine Boat International, recognized the T52 for its exceptional design and innovative features. The judges praised the yacht’s expansive 135-square-metre sundeck, calling it "one of the best spaces onboard," and highlighted the unique aft deck design, featuring a three-level beach club and a 3.7-metre-long pool with a retractable floor. They also commended the hybrid propulsion system, which allows for efficient cruising to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact. The retractable staircase connecting the sundeck with the forward lounge area on the upper deck was also noted for its fresh and innovative approach to onboard outdoor living.
"This award makes us very proud and has a special meaning for us," commented Baglietto CEO Diego Michele Deprati. "It acknowledges a project that laid the foundations not only for Baglietto's present but also for its near- and long-term future. Receiving this award during our 170th anniversary year seals our long-standing tradition of innovation and vision for the future while remaining true to our origins."
The T52 is the first hull in a highly successful line, with eight vessels sold in just three years, scheduled for delivery over the coming years. The yacht's unique features meet today's market demands perfectly. Francesco Paszkowski Design has reinterpreted Baglietto's classical design elements in a contemporary, distinctive style, giving the yacht a strong personality. The line also focuses on environmental protection, with the option to install a hybrid propulsion system for higher efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
The original open stern design ensures close contact with the sea, featuring a beach club spread over three levels, now a hallmark of Baglietto's new direction. The large pool can be concealed with a movable floor, extending the deck surface when not in use. On the upper deck, wide floor-to-ceiling windows open on three sides, creating a pleasant "al fresco" lounge with a conversation area and dining space for all weather conditions. The approximately 24-metre-long sundeck, a distinguishing feature of Baglietto yachts, is unmatched for its size and volume, continuing the legacy of Baglietto's traditional displacement yachts.
