Revealing Innovation, Performance, and Style at Cannes 2025

Princess Yachts, Britain’s largest luxury yacht builder, is proud to announce the upcoming reveal of the Princess C48 at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. Set for delivery in 2027, the C48 marks Princess Yachts’ first-ever entry into the outboard-powered, centre-console sector, representing a major expansion of the company’s portfolio.

A COLLABORATION OF DESIGN ICONS

The C48 is the result of a unique partnership between some of the marine industry’s most respected names:

  • Naval Architecture: Michael Peters, designer of the patented Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) hull, known for its exceptional efficiency, speed, and ride comfort.

  • Exterior Design: Bernard Olesinski Limited (BOL), long-term design partners of Princess Yachts.

  • Styling & Interior Design: Princess’ in-house team, led by Andy Lawrence.

This collaboration fuses advanced hydrodynamics with striking design and functional, flexible interiors, setting a new benchmark for centre-console yachts.

INNOVATIVE SVVT HULL TECHNOLOGY

At the heart of the C48 lies Michael Peters’ patented SVVT hull, which channels air beneath the running surface via a central ventilated tunnel with vertical sidewalls. The result:

  • Reduced drag and improved fuel efficiency.

  • Enhanced grip and directional stability in turns.

  • Smoother, more stable rides in challenging seas.

Owners can expect a yacht that runs faster, more efficiently, and with remarkable comfort compared to traditional stepped hulls.

TWO DISTINCT VARIANTS

C48 Open: Designed for open-air boating enthusiasts, featuring:

  • Hardtop-covered main deck with forward and aft seating.

  • Exterior galley with wet bars, electric grill, fridge, and sink.

  • Flexible lower deck layouts including a saloon, lobby, day head, and aft cabin.

C48 Deck Saloon: Combines enclosed luxury with open-air freedom, offering:

  • Fully enclosed saloon with helm, lounge, and galley.

  • Triple sliding patio doors, optional sliding roof, and cockpit dining areas.

  • Lower deck accommodations with lobby, day head, forward and aft cabins.

  • Optional hydraulic up/down transom platform for inboard variants.

PERFORMANCE OPTIONS

Owners can choose from three engine configurations:

  • Triple Mercury V10 400hp Verado: 44–46 knots

  • Triple Mercury V12 600hp Verado: 52–54 knots

  • Twin Volvo D6-480 inboard diesel: 32–34 knots

"The introduction of the C48 marks a defining moment for Princess, representing our bold entry into an entirely new sector. By uniting the extraordinary talents of Michael Peters, BOL, and our in-house team, we have created a yacht that combines advanced hydrodynamic engineering, striking exterior lines, and elegant interiors.
