Bernard Olesinski
Bernard Olesinski Limited, founded by Bernard Olesinski and now led with son Justin, brings over 40 years of experience designing production yachts for Princess and Fairline. The studio's deep-V hulls define models like the Princess V42, and since 2013, the firm has expanded into the 60-70m superyacht market offering full-service design.
Four Decades of British Production Yacht Design
Bernard Olesinski Limited has shaped the British production yacht market for over four decades, designing iconic models for Princess Yachts and Fairline. Bernard Olesinski, joined by his son Justin as Managing Director, created a parallel design process that streamlines development, reducing time and strain compared to traditional sequential methods.
Signature Model: Princess V42
The studio's expertise is exemplified by the Princess V42, a 13.85m sports cruiser produced since 2006. Olesinski's deep-V hull design ensures stable, smooth riding even at higher speeds or in rougher waters, combined with a spacious interior featuring a forward master cabin, flexible aft guest cabin, and U-shaped saloon seating. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D6-350A engines (700hp total), the V42 delivers powerful performance with reliable handling, embodying the craftsmanship and style for which Olesinski is known.
Superyacht Expansion
In 2013, Bernard Olesinski Limited announced expansion into the superyacht market, initially focusing on the 60-70m segment. The studio now offers comprehensive services including naval architecture, structural engineering, interior and exterior design, and visualisation. Justin Olesinski noted: 'Our experience allows us to deliver award-winning, cost effective designs to hit the markets quickly. The market appears to be ready for an injection of new ideas from an experienced studio'. The Princess 40m Imperial Princess exemplifies their continued collaboration with Princess Yachts.
