Sea Trials Begin for Latest Damen YS53 Yacht Support Vessel
Antalya, Türkiye — June 2025 — Following last month's successful launch at the Damen Yachting facility in Antalya, the latest YS53 Yacht Support vessel has officially entered sea trials. This milestone marks a major step toward her scheduled delivery in Summer 2025.
“We are delighted that this YS53 has started the sea trial phase of her build,” says Pim Oostra, Damen Yachting Project Manager. “It's an important step towards her imminent build completion. She is the third from this all-new YS53 design and a great example of our Yacht Supports, which are built for purpose and non-stop reliability.”
Engineered for Purpose, Designed for Performance
Damen Yachting’s Yacht Support range has delivered over 20 specialized support yachts to date. The YS53 line is crafted for owners with active, dynamic lifestyles and a demand for multifunctionality, adaptability, and reliability. The two previous YS53 units— Amels YS 53 BAD COMPANY and Amels YS 53 Five Oceans—were successfully delivered in 2024.

Featuring a robust, utility-driven profile, the YS53 boasts sharp angular lines and an axe bow designed to enhance sea performance. This advanced bow form cuts cleanly through waves, reducing vertical motion for improved comfort and efficiency. Spray rails and a high bow protect the deck from saltwater, preserving equipment and improving safety in all conditions.
The expansive aft deck offers unmatched flexibility for equipment stowage, tenders, submersibles, and mission-specific setups—ideal for supporting a wide range of on-water activities.
