Third Time’s a Masterpiece: Van der Valk’s 35m Jangada Project Sets New Standard

Van der Valk Shipyard has confirmed the sale of its most ambitious Jangada yacht yet: a 35-metre custom superyacht that builds on over a decade of collaboration with a dedicated repeat client. Following the 25m and 32m versions, this third Jangada reflects an evolution of both lifestyle needs and refined design vision, supported once again by designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot.
Born of a long-term partnership, the new Jangada will feature a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, tailored to deliver ultra-low noise and vibration levels, plus superior stability. At the heart of its bespoke layout is a striking jet-stream pool on the flybridge (4.5m x 1.5m), demanding structural precision and warm-water storage engineered into the hull.
From its raised pilothouse aesthetic and panoramic saloon windows to 2.6-metre ceilings and cleverly hidden helm screens, the yacht balances elegance with engineering. Every detail—like a bow seat positioned for perfect Riviera sunsets and a custom boarding solution for the owner's pontoon—reflects the shipyard’s embrace of "sur mesure" design.
Accommodations include a full-beam master suite forward on the main deck, children-friendly cabins below, and a separate, soundproofed crew circulation system. A Williams tender, dual stabilisation systems, and a compact gym round out this yacht’s focus on functionality and privacy.
Set for delivery in 22 months, the third Jangada will become a benchmark for fully custom builds under 40 metres—proving once again that tailored craftsmanship never goes out of style.
