Founded in 1977, the Cannes Boat Show is a yearly event that takes place in September in the beautiful city of Cannes. It presents almost 600 boats, ranging from motor yachts to super yachts, catamarans, tenders and sailing yachts. The show in the Bay of Cannes is held in the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto of the city.
A direct shuttle service from Nice airport to Cannes is available, or you can take buses 200 and 210. If you prefer taking a taxi, it will cost from around €55, depending on the number of passengers.
If money is no object and you want to travel in style, then book a helicopter with Azur Hélicoptère, which will take you from Nice to Cannes in seven minutes for €500.
Cannes has an enormous selection of types of accommodation for every budget. From luxurious five-star hotels to more affordable apartments, there is something to suit every budget. Just make sure you book in advance, as the city gets very busy during the boat show.
The show has been reorganized since 2019, with the sailing yachts now located at Port Canto on the opposite side of the Croisette and motor boats taking the place of the original Vieux Port. The brokerage sector stayed at Port Canto as usual.
The two sites are linked by regular sea and bus shuttle services departing every 15 minutes–visitors simply need to present their show tickets to access these free services.
The world's most renowned boatbuilders have displayed their new yacht models in Cannes, including Azimut, Baglietto, Benetti, Ferretti Yachts, Ferretti group Custom Line division, Mangusta, Numarine, Pershing, Princess, Riva and Sunseeker.
