The Palumbo family founded Columbus Yachts in 1967, starting as a small Mediterranean carpentry and welding shop. Over three generations, they have expanded their operations significantly, transforming the company into a renowned name in the luxury yacht industry.
Today, the company operates several shipyards across the Mediterranean, located in Ancona, Malta, Marseille, Naples, and Savona. The Palumbo family members, experienced yachtsmen themselves, engage directly with clients to meet their specific needs and preferences.
In 2008, the Palumbo family elevated their craftsmanship by collaborating with top-tier exterior and interior yacht designers, leading to the establishment of the Columbus Yacht Company. Their first yacht, named “PRIMA,” was launched in 2011.
Following the successful debut of PRIMA, Columbus Yachts has continued to introduce luxury superyachts, including hybrid and eco-friendly models. These environmentally conscious yachts, designed to reduce fuel consumption and minimize the release of harmful toxins, have gained popularity among both younger and older yachters.
Currently, Columbus Yachts offers four distinct yacht lines: Atlantique, Crossover, Sport, and Classic, alongside fully custom-built vessels. The company prides itself on generations of experience, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern sophistication to create top-of-the-line yachts.
Through their superyacht division, Palumbo Superyachts, the company also manages other prestigious brands, including ISA Yachts, Mondomarine, Extra Yachts, and Palumbo SY Refit. This diversification underscores the company's extensive expertise and commitment to excellence in the luxury yacht industry.
