Horizon Yachts Unveils the V77s Hull 13: Masterpiece of Architectural Serenity and Maritime Innovation
Horizon Yachts has revealed the V77s Hull 13, a 24m superyacht that introduces a new architectural interior design to the V Series. This vessel emphasizes serenity, with a three-stateroom layout, innovative hydraulic transom, and refined spaces for ultimate onboard comfort.
Successful Unveiling of V77s Hull 13
Horizon Yachts has revealed new images of the 24m Horizon V77S Hull 13 motor yacht, introducing a distinctly architectural interior direction alongside the platform’s established deck and layout strengths. As a newly completed example of the enclosed-skylounge Horizon V Series, the yacht was unveiled under the theme “The Moving Waterfront: Poetry Upon the Waves.”
Architectural Influences Create a Calmer Interior
Hull 13’s primary point of departure lies inside. Horizon has taken a notably architectural approach to the interior, drawing inspiration from residential design rather than traditional yacht styling. Walnut with a horizontal grain runs throughout the main spaces, finished in a satin texture that softens the surfaces and reduces visual contrast. Large windows introduce shifting daylight across the timber, creating a calmer, more settled interior mood.
Light-toned materials dominate the main saloon and galley, reinforcing a sense of openness without relying on gloss or high contrast. The galley, positioned amidships as per the V77S layout, features thick quartz countertops that give the space a sense of permanence and weight. Open cabinetry with mirrored backing adds depth to the boat while keeping the palette restrained.
The three-stateroom configuration places emphasis on privacy and flow rather than guest capacity. By opting for fewer cabins, Hull 13 leans into a more residential onboard experience, aligning with the broader design intent of a floating retreat rather than a high-occupancy cruiser. Waterside Living and a Hydraulic Transom
Externally, V77S Hull 13 retains the defining deck features that have come to characterize the model. The hydraulic fold-down transom remains the focal point aft, lowering to create a broad waterside terrace and lifting again to form a protected cockpit when underway or stern-to. A through-hatch preserves walkaround access even with the transom raised, maintaining practicality alongside leisure use.
The cockpit is arranged as a true everyday living area, with fixed seating, a dining table suitable for use underway, and a direct connection to the interior through a split saloon door and pass-through bar window. Docking remains owner-friendly via the aft joystick station, offering clear sightlines and close communication with crew.
Side decks on the motor yacht are wide and well protected, leading forward to a foredeck set up as a genuine social space rather than a simple sunpad. The upper aft deck continues the outdoor theme, serving as both a tender stowage zone and a service area with wet bar and grill once the tender is launched. Across all decks, the emphasis is on usable, clearly defined spaces rather than decorative excess.
Refinement Through Design Rather Than Reinvention
From a technical standpoint, V77S Hull 13 follows the established V77S platform, with Horizon’s infused hull construction and proven engineering forming the foundation. This hull is specified with twin MAN V8 1,200 hp engines, while the broader platform supports alternative machinery packages. The semi-custom framework still supports a wide range of layout and decor choices, but this hull demonstrates how far the character of the yacht can be shifted through interior design alone.
“Whether embracing the energy of the open sea from the aft deck or quietly admiring the ever-changing horizon from the warmth of the salon, life onboard unfolds as a refined journey of connection, balance, and belonging.”
Rather than introducing structural changes, Hull 13 refines the V77S formula by focusing on atmosphere and material restraint. It stands as a clear example of how Horizon’s V Series can adapt to differing owner priorities while retaining its core strengths.
How the V77S Platform Evolved
The V Series began with the V68, conceived as an owner-operator platform with superyacht features on a manageable beam. That concept later grew into the V77 CMY, adding length, a mezzanine cockpit, and clearer separation between guest spaces and service routes.
The V77S represents the enclosed-skylounge expression of that platform. By moving the helm to a fully enclosed upper deck, the main deck is released into a full-length saloon with an amidships galley and improved dining area. The result is a layout that prioritizes uninterrupted interior volume while retaining a planing hull, proven engineering package, and semi-custom flexibility across cabin arrangements and finishes.
