Baglietto expands its successful DOM line with the new DOM155 flagship, a 155-foot displacement motor yacht under 500 GT designed by Stefano Vafiadis. The first unit will be available in early 2029, featuring a panoramic infinity pool, extensive customization, and twin CAT C32 engines.

Baglietto Expands DOM Line with New DOM155 Flagship

On 13 January 2026, Baglietto introduced the new DOM155, the flagship of the successful DOM line. Following the DOM133 (12 units sold) and the DOM115 (four orders acquired), this new displacement motor yacht under 500 GT responds to client demand for larger volumes and enhanced liveability while retaining the warm, welcoming, and refined Roman domus concept on the sea.

Design Philosophy by Stefano Vafiadis

Designer Stefano Vafiadis describes the exterior lines as "clean and sculptural, never excessive, yet balanced and aggressive at the same time, featuring longitudinal cuts and taut volumes inspired by automotive design." Aluminium construction, already used for the DOM133, allows greater customization, improved performance, and a shallow draft, making the project particularly appealing to the American market. The first DOM155 unit will be available in early 2029.

Commercial Director's Statement

Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto's Chief Commercial Officer, commented: "The DOM155 is the result of listening carefully to our clients and, more broadly, to the market, which has enthusiastically welcomed both the 35- and 41-metre models but has repeatedly expressed interest in larger dimensions. This project, developed together with architect Stefano Vafiadis, brings together many of the improvement suggestions and experiences shared by our owners over the years, resulting in a yacht with high levels of customization, comfort, and liveability that we are confident will fit perfectly into the sub-500 GT yacht segment."

Innovative Stern and Beach Club

The heart of the project is the stern area, featuring a central panoramic infinity pool flanked by two large staircases. The port-side staircase can be lowered for technical access to the underlying beach club, which can be configured as a wellness area with spa and gym overlooking the sea via a fold-down shell door, or converted into an additional garage for a larger tender. The aft swimming platform includes a large transformer for swimming and dock access.

Interior Layout and Accommodation

Floor-to-ceiling glazing and seamless interior-exterior dialogue define the spaces. The main deck features fully opening doors connecting outdoor and indoor lounges, with a dining table for ten. The full-beam owner's suite includes an office, walk-in closet, California king-size bed, and his-and-hers bathroom with walk-through shower. Four generous guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms are on the lower deck, with an optional fifth guest cabin on the upper deck. Crew accommodation comprises four en-suite cabins for eight, plus mess and laundry.

The upper deck saloon opens on three sides for panoramic views and ventilation, with outdoor dining and relaxation areas. Forward of the wheelhouse, an additional lounge offers private cruising enjoyment, while the forward technical area houses the tender and a jet ski. The 130-square-metre sundeck features sunbathing areas, a conversation lounge, and an infinity pool with integrated bar.

Propulsion

The DOM155 will be powered by twin CAT C32 engines, achieving a maximum speed of 16 knots.
