Baglietto at the Monaco Yacht Show with Two Premieres: T52 "Akula" and DOM133 "Barbara Anne"

La Spezia, 24 September 2024 – Celebrating its 170th anniversary, Baglietto is making a grand appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show (Booth QE22) with two exciting world premieres: the T52 Motor Yacht "Akula" and the DOM133 Motor Yacht "Barbara Anne.

Motor Yacht "Akula"

With its striking dark grey hull, the 52-meter T52 Akula exudes a bold, powerful aesthetic. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski for the exterior and Team for Design - Enrico Gobbi for the interiors, this steel and aluminum yacht showcases a modern yet timeless elegance. The interior design emphasizes luxurious yet understated sophistication, with soft oak woods, natural materials, and brass accents. The colors inside evoke natural elements like the earthy tones of ivory, ochre, and burnt orange, reflecting sunrise and sunset hues.

Special attention has been given to artistic details, including Murano glass sculptures and unique lighting solutions, such as the indirect ceiling lights that recall the rounded shapes of aircraft fuselages. One of the yacht’s standout features is the three-level beach club at the open stern, offering seamless interaction with the sea. The sky lounge, with floor-to-ceiling windows that can fully open, provides panoramic views and a perfect indoor-outdoor connection. The garage has been replaced with a state-of-the-art gym, and the tender and jet skis are now stored at the bow.

Motor Yacht "Barbara Anne"

The DOM133 Barbara Anne retains the hallmark design features of the DOM133 line, developed by Stefano Vafiadis, which emphasizes maximizing the sense of openness and creating a strong connection with the sea. The yacht features innovative solutions like the external relocation of the main deck ventilation ducts, which allows for expansive glazed windows in the main salon. The upper deck also features floor-to-ceiling windows and side balconies, while the aft area boasts a custom-designed pool with the yacht’s logo engraved at the bottom.

Interior designer Leonardo Santi drew inspiration from iconic luxury car brands, incorporating vibrant colors like Ferrari red and Lamborghini orange into the guest cabins. A bronze-coated carbon top in the wheelhouse and grille inserts reminiscent of sports cars further enhance the automotive-inspired theme. Throughout the yacht, a warm palette of cream, bronze, and light wood complements sleek, modern design elements, such as LED inserts and bronze-coated finishes.

The central staircase is a stunning focal point, featuring alternating bronze panels and light strips that create a dynamic visual effect. A Murano glass chandelier adds a touch of artistry to the space. The sky lounge’s centerpiece is a bar unit made of backlit white onyx, exuding elegance and originality. All furnishings and fabrics are from top Italian design houses like Minotti, Paolo Castelli, and Maria Flora, ensuring a refined and luxurious ambiance.

Both yachts are powered by Caterpillar C32 engines, with Akula reaching 17 knots at maximum speed, highlighting Baglietto's fusion of cutting-edge design with high performance.

These two extraordinary vessels reflect Baglietto’s dedication to innovation, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the sea, making them the stars of this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.
