Sunseeker Unveils Breathtaking Details of the Ocean 156

16 September 2024 – Southampton, UK. The 2024 Southampton International Boat Show welcomed a new era in yacht design with the world premiere of the Sunseeker Ocean 156. Making its first public appearance, this long-anticipated model redefines luxury, layout innovation, and spatial flexibility—setting a bold new benchmark for yachts in its class.
A Radical Reimagination of Space
The Ocean 156 is a yacht that challenges conventions. Unlike traditional models defined by length, the Ocean 156 follows Sunseeker’s new naming system based on gross tonnage, placing the emphasis squarely on usable interior volume. With over 1,770 square feet of internal space across three levels, this yacht feels more like a floating penthouse than a conventional cruiser.
Sunseeker CEO Andrea Frabetti declared the launch “a proud moment,” underscoring the brand’s drive to deliver unmatched innovation and owner-focused design.
Elevated Design. Exceptional Flexibility.
Every detail of the Ocean 156 has been crafted to serve the modern yachting lifestyle:
Infinity Main Deck: Floor-to-ceiling glazing and an open-plan design deliver panoramic views from bow to stern.
Customisable Layouts: Multiple interior configurations allow owners to tailor the yacht to their lifestyle—whether it’s a floating luxury apartment or a family-friendly retreat.
Main Deck Owner’s Stateroom Option: Offers direct foredeck access and extraordinary light and space.
Thanks to the clever layout and minimal fixed furniture, the Ocean 156 offers unmatched versatility without compromising the yacht’s architectural flow or comfort.
Signature Features That Set Her Apart
Enclosed Upper Deck with Central Helm
Sliding Doors to the Aft Fly Deck and Forward Terrace
Flexible Upper Decks with Custom Furniture Options
Foredeck Wet Bar and Convertible Seating
Beach Club with Award-Winning X-TEND™ Convertible Seating
Hi-Lo Hydraulic Swim Platform (550kg capacity)
Optional Hydraulic Sea Stair for Easy Water Access
From bow to stern, the yacht offers expansive exterior lounging and entertaining zones, designed to adapt seamlessly from sunrise coffee spots to sunset cocktail venues.
Interior: Light, Luxury, and Layout Innovation
Step into the saloon and discover a true 360° panorama, thanks to full-height windows and the absence of obtrusive structural elements. The space can be customised with an open galley aft, bar forward, or L-shaped lounges depending on the selected layout.
The floating glass staircase at the heart of the saloon is a masterclass in form meeting function—an architectural centrepiece that maintains the openness of the surrounding space.
Clients can opt for:
A main deck Owner’s Stateroom with sliding door access to the bow and expansive views, or
A full-beam lower deck suite with private dressing area, desk, and twin-basin en suite.
Three additional guest cabins—including a convertible twin—allow up to 10 guests to cruise in supreme comfort.
Performance Meets Refinement
Powered by a choice of twin MAN V8 1300 or V12 1650 engines, the Ocean 156 cruises comfortably at up to 25 knots, with a range of 900 nautical miles at 10 knots. Stabilisation systems—either fin or gyro—ensure a smooth, serene ride in a variety of sea conditions.
