Mengi Yay Launches ANCORA, the Third Hull of Virtus 47 Series on Republic Day

Mengi Yay Yachts is thrilled to announce the launch of ANCORA, the third hull of the Virtus 47 series, marked by the shipyard’s hull number NB 100, on October 29th, 2023. This significant milestone coincides with the centenary of the Turkish Republic, founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923, making the delivery of this yacht a momentous occasion for Mengi Yay.

A Celebration of Innovation and Heritage

ANCORA stands as a testament to Mengi Yay's legacy of excellence, combining cutting-edge technology with refined design. This yacht, which is RINA Class, C Hull Mach Y Unrestricted Navigation DMS Compliant to Reg Yacht Code Part A, offers enhanced features that surpass those of its predecessors, including:

  • Improved Yawing and Seakeeping: Optimal fin stabilizer positioning ensures smoother navigation.
  • Shore Power Converter: Enables seamless power management.
  • 5th Display in Wheelhouse: Enhances control and monitoring capabilities.
  • Upgraded User Interface: Includes a dedicated Mengi Yay mobile application for better user experience.
  • Additional WT Sliding Door: Provides a flush entry from the beach club to the tender garage.
  • Automatic Transformer Covering Hatch: Adds convenience and functionality.

A Masterpiece of Collaborative Design

ANCORA is the result of a collaboration between some of the finest minds in yacht design and architecture. Ginton Naval Architecture (Dutch) provided the naval architecture, VYD Studio (Italian) crafted the sophisticated exterior design, and the modern interior was realized by Robert Trown and Associates, Inc.

Luxurious Accommodations and Performance

ANCORA offers expansive living spaces, including a master cabin with a private balcony and a main saloon with two terraces. The yacht accommodates up to ten guests in one master cabin, two VIP cabins, and two additional guest cabins. For crew, there is accommodation for nine, spread across five cabins.

Powered by two CAT C32, 1450 HP diesel engines, ANCORA reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots and cruises comfortably at 12 knots, with an impressive range of 3,100 nautical miles.

Mengi Yay Yachts is proud to deliver ANCORA, a yacht that represents the pinnacle of innovation and craftsmanship, while celebrating 100 years of the Turkish Republic.
