First Pershing GTX116 unit launched
On February 7, 2023, Pershing launched the first yacht in its groundbreaking GTX range, the Pershing GTX116. This innovative model marks a new chapter for the Mondolfo-based yard, combining elegance, volume, and the brand's signature thrill.
The GTX116, designed specifically for the U.S. market, embodies Pershing's sporty DNA while offering enhanced comfort, expansive open-air spaces, and a five-cabin layout that emphasizes liveability and direct contact with the water.
The yacht, named Caffeine by its American owner—who made his fortune with the ingredient—represents his ideal vessel. He praised it for its five suites, upper deck sunroof, large Jacuzzi, ample crew accommodations, and extensive garage space for tenders and water toys. The yacht's sleek and streamlined profile is further distinguished by a signature bow feature inspired by luxury SUVs, classifying it as a Sport Utility Yacht (SUY). Painted in a new shade of grey with a special blue deckhouse, the GTX116 also features generous glazed surfaces that flood the interiors with natural light.
Outdoor and Design Features:
- Outdoor Areas: The GTX116 boasts 150 square meters of outdoor space seamlessly connected to the water, enhancing onboard liveability.
- Beach Club and Garage: The 39-square-meter beach club features a teak deck and an electro-hydraulic taffrail, creating a vast space at the water’s edge. The garage can accommodate a tender over 5 meters long, a jet ski, and other water toys.
- Sundeck: The 40-square-meter sundeck, accessible via two outdoor stairways, includes the second helm station, a large wet bar, and a comfortable lounge area under the protection of a carbon hard top.
Performance:
- Propulsion: The GTX116 is powered by a triple water jet propulsion system, with the option to install three MAN V12 2000 engines, delivering a top speed of 35.5 knots and a cruising speed of 29.5 knots. The standard configuration includes three MAN V12 1800 engines rated at 1,800 mhp.
The launch of the Pershing GTX116 represents a significant achievement for the brand, ushering in a new era of yacht construction that combines performance, luxury, and innovative design.
