Riva 102’ Corsaro Super: The New Era of Flybridge Yachts

La Spezia, January 26th, 2023 – The Riva 102’ Corsaro Super marks a new chapter in the evolution of flybridge yachts, blending contemporary design with enhanced liveability and comfort. This yacht is the successor to the acclaimed 100’ Corsaro, embodying Riva's heritage while embracing modern trends through innovations in design, style, and technology.

Design and Aesthetics

The Riva 102’ Corsaro Super maintains the sporty, streamlined lines of its predecessor but introduces a more elegant and decisive profile. Dark color accents from the large windows and the hardtop create fluid, harmonious lines, resulting in a sleek, assertive silhouette. The superstructure has been redesigned to be contemporary and sporty, with improved aerodynamics thanks to new glass fashion plates.

  • Length Overall: 30.24 meters (99 ft 3 in)
  • Beam: 6.70 meters (22 ft 0 in)
  • Design: Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta of Officina Italiana Design
  • Engineering: Ferretti Group Engineering Department
  • Styling: Sporty with modern, fluid lines

Exterior Spaces

The exterior of the Riva 102’ Corsaro Super is designed for maximum interaction with the sea:

  • Aft Area: Redesigned to create a beach club extending over 35 square meters, including a 15-square-meter swim platform, lateral cockpit access, and a large sun lounger.
  • Cockpit: 20 square meters of functional, elegant space with a sofa, optional freestanding furniture, and a large bar unit with an icemaker.
  • Flybridge: Accessible via a steel staircase, featuring sunbeds, a cocktail area with a bar, and an alfresco dining area under the hardtop. The second helm station is equipped with an NSOevo3S navigation system.

Main Deck

The main deck is dominated by Canaletto walnut and polished surfaces, with two layout options to suit different owner preferences:

  • Standard Layout: Dining area aft and living space centrally located.
  • Alternative Layout: Living area near the entrance, dining table forward near the galley.
  • Owner's Suite: Full-beam, located forward with redesigned windows for enhanced space and views. Features include a king-size bed, dormeuse, desk, full-beam bathroom with customizable marble basins, and a spacious wardrobe.

Lower Deck

The lower deck accommodates:

  • Guest Areas: Three VIP double cabins and a twin guest cabin, all with ensuite bathrooms.
  • Crew Quarters: Captain’s cabin with ensuite bathroom and two crew cabins with bunk beds and private bathrooms.
  • Garage: Spacious enough for two water toys and a Williams 445 L tender, with easy launch and retrieval procedures.

Performance and Technology

The Riva 102’ Corsaro Super offers two engine options:

  • Standard: MTU 16V 2000 M96 engines (2,435 mhp each), with top speeds of 26 knots and cruising speeds of 23 knots.
  • Optional: MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines (2,638 mhp each), with top speeds of over 28 knots and cruising speeds of 24 knots.

The raised bridge, located on the upper deck, can be accessed from both the exterior flybridge and the interior main deck. It features:

  • Cockpit: Ergonomic design with TwinDisc electro-hydraulic steering and SIMRAD COMMAND LOOP navigation system.
  • Monitoring: Managed from five touchscreen monitors (16-inch standard, 19-inch optional).
  • Trim and Stability: Fitted with Hydrotab dynamic trim interceptors and Sleipner Vector Fins, with optional Seakeeper NG9 systems for additional stability.

Conclusion

The Riva 102’ Corsaro Super exemplifies the fusion of tradition and innovation, offering unparalleled luxury, comfort, and performance. Its meticulous design and advanced technology make it the ideal flybridge yacht for a sublime cruising experience, continuing Riva's legacy of elegance and excellence on the seas.
