Numarine Launches New Flagship Explorer Superyacht: The 40MXP

Evolution of the popular 37XP brings a Mediterranean lifestyle focus with expansive aft deck and pool
Istanbul, July 2025 – Numarine, the renowned builder of luxury long-range explorer yachts, has launched the first 40MXP superyacht, a new 40-metre flagship in its successful XP Series. With two additional units already in build and deliveries scheduled for 2025, the 40MXP is already proving to be in high demand.
“Preserving the stylistic cues and DNA of all our models, the 40MXP retains our high-volume, low-maintenance, long-range ethos while introducing new design features that enhance the intimate connection with the sea that a yacht provides,” said Ömer Malaz, Chairman of Numarine.
Made for the Mediterranean—and Beyond
The ‘MXP’ designation stands for Mediterranean Explorer, reflecting the beach-club lifestyle and stronger connection to the sea that define this model. Inspired by the highly successful 37XP, the 40MXP extends hull length and pushes aft the saloon’s sliding doors, creating a vast new social zone.
At its heart is a spectacular aft deck with a large alfresco dining space, bar, and lounge surrounding a pool with glass transom. This area flows seamlessly onto a full-beam hydraulic swim platform, providing exceptional access to the water. The entire space can be shaded with an awning, ideal for warm cruising grounds from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, USA, or Australia.
True Explorer DNA
While the ‘M’ emphasizes Mediterranean living, the ‘XP’ essence remains fully intact. Naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini has produced an optimized hull form that delivers an impressive 6,000-nautical-mile range at 8 knots. Standard propulsion comes from twin MAN 800hp engines, with an option for Tier III-compliant twin MAN 900hp units.
Inside, the 40MXP offers Numarine’s signature volume and flexibility, with accommodation for up to 12 guests across six suites. Highlights include a full-beam main deck master and two customizable guest cabins. Both the exterior and interior styling are once again by Can Yalman, ensuring continuity with the XP family while offering fresh design choices.
The yacht retains key features of the 37XP that made it a commercial success, including an expansive flybridge, generous main and upper decks, and a tender deck capable of carrying a 9-metre tender plus three full-size jet skis, with additional storage for water toys.
“Our new flagship offers true luxury blended with versatility, whether for family cruising or charter,” said Chris Gore, Sales & Marketing Director. “The 40MXP carries forward our Numarine DNA, while adding new dimensions of lifestyle and experience.”
