Heesen Yachts proudly announces the sale of YN 20750, Project Orion, a revolutionary 50-meter hybrid superyacht. Sold to an experienced yacht owner introduced by Anton Foord of Ocean Independence, Project Orion sets a new standard in sustainable, luxury yachting.

Hybrid and Silent Cruising

Project Orion features a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system, enabling silent cruising up to 10 knots while optimizing power efficiency and onboard comfort.

Eco-Conscious Design

Built with a fast displacement hull form (FDHF) and lightweight aluminum construction, Project Orion achieves a remarkable 30% reduction in fuel consumption, significantly lowering its carbon footprint.

Versatile for Dual-Season Yachting

With a shallow draft of just 2.15 meters, Project Orion is designed for effortless cruising in both the shallow waters of the Bahamas and the Mediterranean’s scenic coastlines.

Luxury Interiors and Premium Craftsmanship

Designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects and featuring interiors by Cristiano Gatto, Project Orion showcases an owner’s suite on the main deck, a full-beam VIP suite, and luxurious staterooms that maximize its 499 GT internal volume.

Advanced Engineering and Performance

Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M61 engines (IMO III), Project Orion delivers a top speed of 16.3 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,750 nautical miles. At a cruising speed of 12 knots, fuel consumption is just 98 liters per hour (excluding hotel load), reflecting Heesen’s commitment to sustainability.
